Summer Miniscape Studies

A month long project completed in the summer of 2023 in which each day, I completed a small landscape painting. Each painting, approximately 10x10cm, was inspired by small vignettes taken from old masterworks. I used the masterworks as prompts that were then combined with personal imagery taken of the surrounding Alsatian landscape, with the goal of exploring light, shadow and new colour palettes.
